Tyler is another month older and it’s amazing how much he learns in one month. He’s talking a lot and it’s really cute. He loves going to “Jesus house” and of course Grammy’s house. About two weeks ago we started trying to get him to sleep in his bed by himself. I had been sleeping in there with him. This is night 3 (in a row) that he’s had to cry it out. But once it’s the morning he is all smiles telling me that he’s a big boy now. He changes his tune at night though

I’ll try to post some pictures in the next few days. Now that it’s getting nicer outside I should be able to take some outside pictures!

I just can’t believe that Tyler will be two years old a little over a week! I thought the first year flew by! The second year went by a lot faster. We are taking him to the circus in Raleigh on 2/25 He’s gonna love that! Since we’re doing that, we’re just going to do a simple cake and ice cream get together on his actual birthday. I’m really looking forward to his 5th birthday. I’ve already starting coming up with ideas for it. We’re going all out for that one!

I think it’s so sweet that Tyler’s favorite movie is the one Paul and I were watching the very first time he kissed me <3 A Bug's Life. It's special to us, hehe.

So far I’ve only really made one resolution for 2010, and that is to lose weight by summer. Paul keeps asking what my goal is. I don’t really have a goal weight but I do have a goal size! I want to get back into my size 7 jeans. Once I get to that point then I get $500 towards a new wardrobe (a deal Paul and I made a long time ago). So to help me achieve that, I bought a treadmill and the 30 Day Shred workout video, and a yoga video that kicks my butt as well. Who knew stretching could be so hard!! I’m also using this app on my itouch called Livestrong that helps me keep up with my calorie intake (trying to keep it under 1300 per day!) as well as my exercise. Wish me luck!

Tyler really enjoyed Christmas. He was so serious when opening presents, barely smiling. Once he opened it up and saw that it was something fun that’s when he smiled. He was so much fun. I really love watching him grow up. He learns so much these days. It’s like his brain is a little sponge just soaking everything up. He’ll be two in a little over a month. My baby is growing up fast, a little too fast. I wish I could hold him in my arms again as a tiny baby. He still lets me do that actually, when he’s sleep and sick I love him.

Cara and Fayth (Paul’s little sisters) are living with us for now. We’re not sure if it’s permanent or not. Either way is fine with us, they are great people. They don’t get into any trouble and Tyler is loving having “Ca-ca and Face” with us

Tyler is in a “NO” stage and it’s driving me bonkers. He probably says no about 500 times a day. We’ve decided to ignore it completely hoping that he’ll realize it doesn’t get him attention, and then get bored of it. I get why he’s doing it though. He’s heard us say it 500 times a day so he wants to know what that word is all about, lol.

Paul has decided to put Real Estate on hold indefinitely and start school for Mechanical Engineering. So proud of him. He wants to get his bachelors in ME and then go back active duty as an Officer in the AF. He sets high goals for himself and I really respect that. He starts school January 6, 2010. He’ll be going full time plus some, lol. He only has 3 years to finish because the AF only gives us the living expenses check for 3 years. They pay him to go to school $1000 per month! Can you believe that? I wish someone would pay me to go to school!

It’s Christmas time and we have our tree up and the house decorated. I’m hosting Christmas Eve lunch at our house for my family and I’m really looking forward to it. Now that nobody is sick anymore, we took turns, Paul then Tyler then me. It was awful. I posted a picture on the sidebar of my family on Thanksgiving.

And here is Tyler with Jenna (7 months) and Brayden (10 months). Jenna and Brayden are the children of two good high school friends.

Anyway, he’s napping right now and all I want to do is scoop him up and kiss his little cheeks. He really is the best little thing in the world. He’s almost potty trained. Of course it will probably be a while before he stays dry all night. He’s great at letting me know before he has to go. We’re even thinking of getting him some big boy underwear for the daytime.

biG idea is doing great! We’re staying busy. We’re learning a lot! I wish I had the time and money to go to school for photography. Then again, I’d have to leave my baby even more and I’m not so sure I could handle that! I just love taking pictures…and I’m even finding that I like to take nature shots! I never thought I would. Me & Todd are busy planning a trip to the mountains for next month. Just think of all the great shots we can get over there! I can’t wait!
